Normally I create a lot of kinematic animations for Mappings, panels and lots of objects in motion controlled procedurally (By distance influence, by time, by grayimages,….) So I wanted to add another level of complexity creating the system that is moving them. It started as a challenge but was resolve in less than 4 hours.
I take a robotic arm I had from another project (not done by me) I adapt it to be a a suport for the kinetic surface, create the IK setup and linked to the square. With my tool “Map Transfer” I drive procedurally the motion of all the squares and the IK makes the rest. Easy setup that can be very usefull since its easy to control for thousands of objects.
