I did some experimentation with ropes in TP and I finish with this abstract video. Ropes in TP are really fast to calculate but lacks in collisions (no self collisions and collision with rigid bodies doesn-t work so well), but for cool rope effects with not so much interaction is really fun to play with it.
All ropes are created procedurally and conected to diferent particles (generated inside a 3d object) if they are in a certain distance. I move this particles to a new group with a wind force, and ropes breaks appart. Finally some tetras are attached to the ropes.
